Life Goes On

The last time we spoke, I was just getting accustomed to having the first Nightsong female heir born. Time has passed quickly and I have been very busy with my Nightsong family! Since we spoke, a lot has happened:

Raven married Christopher Steele
Raven gave birth to Wolf and then to Hummingbird
Raven died

Hummingbird married Richard Raevynne
Wolf had triplets, all girls. Emerald, Sapphire and Amethyst.
Hummingbird had Robin Nightsong, the second female heir.
Her father, Christopher, passed away.

Many birthdays happened and the triplets aged to adults and all got jobs.
Emerald is evil, so she began her Criminal Career which will hopefully lead to her becoming the Emperor of Evil.
Amethyst loves to cook, so she set out to be a Five Star Cook.
Sapphire is very brave and athletic, so she decided to be an Astronaut. She is currently working her way up through the military ranks.

Wolf and his wife, Jessica, became elders.
Hummingbird’s husband became an elder.

Robin has become a beautiful teen and is working diligently to get on the honor roll and stay there.

Hummingbird is due to become an elder very soon, but she is steadily working on her Rock Star dream. She has already mastered the guitar, now it is just putting in the performances and time.

Hummingbird bought stock in the local spa.
Wolf has filled the large Nightsong estate with his many masterpieces and has currently taken to the guitar. He wishes to be a Master of the Arts.

So, there we have it… a quick update. I will try to blog some of the interesting parts of the story very soon. Like Grandma and Grandpa haunting the place at night. .. playing in the sprinklers, sleeping in peoples beds and basically acting as if they are still alive.. except when the dawn comes and they fade away in a puff of smoke! Then there was the time that the entire family thought it would be cool to go play in the sprinklers in the garden.. and trampled everything… requiring them all to take part in tending to it so some of the produce and plants could be saved….

Thanks for checking in. I’ll have more soon!

Hummingbird Nightsong was born last night. Ladies and gentlemen, we have a girl! Finally! I’m so excited. lol After last time, with three boys before I got twin girls, I am thrilled. Needless to say, the proud mama and papa are thrilled too. Look for IC updates today or tomorrow. Woohoo!

Well, Christopher and Raven did it, they had their first child. Of course, it is a boy. So much for me trying to have a Matriarchal family. haha I learned my lesson after my last try though. I’m having a spare and that is it. I cannot handle five kids like I had in the last try.      O.O

The new heir is named.. Wolf. I’m sticking with Animal names for all the kids. It seemed fitting. lol I’ll post the whole bit from meeting Christopher to birthing the new heir in my IC very soon!

Thanks for checking in on me! Please leave a comment if you have time. I love to read them!

I’ve decided to breed a family trait in all my heirs. Since my founder is Native American, I’m going with Love the Outdoors. And, believe me, I am NOT buying any sprinklers! LtO’s seem to be obsessed with them. lol

Raven toyed with the animal totem in her hand, a far away look on her face. Her fingers smoothed over the worn surface of a carved raven, a precious gift given to her by her Grandmother, as they had done many times before. It was said that rubbing the totem would bring the attention of the Raven and the heightened awareness associated with this honored animal spirit. Moving to a new town, Raven felt she needed to be able to see in to people’s hearts so she could make friends and, perhaps, find her soul mate. Rubbing the totem was also a habit she developed when she was younger and spent a great deal of her time alone.

Sighing softly, Raven glanced down to the totem and smiled. Chocolate brown eyes crinkled as the smile bloomed larger at the thought of what her Grandmother would think of her lifetime dream of being a Creature-Robot Cross Breeder. Many of her tribe didn’t approve of her interests; they felt they were dangerous and insulting to the animal spirits. Her Grandmother,  however, had always supported her, no matter how strange her ideas might have been. She knew she would have supported her now if she was here. Raven sighed once more and gazed out the window of the taxi as she fought off the tears that threatened everytime she thought of her Grandmother lately. It had only been a week since she passed on and though she knew she was happier where she was now, she missed her.

The sound of the taxi driver’s voice woke her from her reverie letting her know that she had arrived at her destination. Grateful for the quiet ride, Raven paid the driver and tipped him a few extra simoleons. She would have given him more, but she barely had enough to find a place to stay in this new town and every simoleon was precious. Stepping from the taxi, she grabbed a well-worn leather bag from the seat beside her and hoisted it on her shoulder. The bag held everything she had taken with her; a few sets of clothing, a book on gardening and a pouch of seeds.

The bustle of the town was a bit overwhelming as she made her way to the gym; a place she had been told she could stay at until the paperwork was finalized on the property her Grandmother had left her in her will; as was the custom of her tribe which was a matriarchal society. She hoped there was somewhere to sleep, because she was dead tired. Tugging the strap up on her shoulder again, she lifted her chin and looked around with unmistakable pride in her eyes. Many had said she was too much of a dreamer to ever do anything like this, but she had done it. Here she was in Sunset Valley and she was ready to begin her new life.

Greetings once again! Thanks for stopping by to check on my progress. I have just taken the first step to accepting the Legacy Challenge by creating my Legacy Founder. Here she is:

Raven Nightsong

Gender: Female
Age: Young Adult
Fitness: Normal
Weight: Thin

Traits: Angler, Green Thumb, Family Oriented, Loves the Outdoors, Neat

Bio: Raven Nightsong is a young Native American who just moved to Sunset Valley.  Raven is a fun-loving young woman who is completely dedicated to starting a family and becoming a Creature-Robot Cross Breeder.

Raven was lucky enough to get a great deal on a huge plot of land in Sunset Valley. The only problem is she is now, pretty much, broke. So, her first challenges will be:

1. Spiffing up her lot to make it livable.

2. Finding places to meet her needs for food, sleep and.. err.. bodily functions. O.o

3. Training her skills so she can get a job at the Hospital.

4. Getting a job!

5. Meeting Mr. Right so she can get this Legacy thing started!

Wish her luck!

Greetings all!

This blog is to document my Legacy Family; created to participate in The Sims 3 Legacy Challenge.

Legacy Challenge

The Legacy Challenge is a long, 10-generation challenge where you start out with a single founder and very humble beginnings and try to lead the family to fame, fortune and success over the course of 10 generations.

Starting out
Create a brand new game file. You will be using this file exclusively to play your Legacy Challenge. You may use an existing game file, but your Legacy family must immediately become the “Active Household” and not cease to be active for the duration of the challenge. You may select any neighborhood.

The challenge begins with a single founder. Make this founder in Create A Sim. They may be male or female. They may be any age that can have children (YA, Adult and Elder for males, YA and Adult for females). You have full choice over their look, color and clothing. Custom content may be used if you like, including create-a-style custom patterns and colors. You may choose all 5 traits as well as their three favorite likes (food, music and color) and a lifetime want. No other sims may be created in the founder’s family. Be creative with the family name, you’ll be seeing it for quite some time.  — By Pinstar1161.
